Terms of reference
The Qualifications Board shall –
review the qualification requirements for registration or renewal of registration;
assess qualifications referred to it by the Registration Board to ascertain whether they should become qualification requirements for registration or renewal registration;
prepare guidelines to be followed by the Registrar to examine, assess and verify the qualifications of applicants for registration or renewal of registration;
make recommendations to the Registration Board as to the matters referred to in paragraphs (a), (b) and (c);
when consulted by the Registrar, assess whether the qualification held by a person in an equivalent qualification for the purposes of section 40(2)(d) or (5)(c) of the Construction Workers Registration Ordinance;
make recommendations to the Registrar as to the matters referred to in paragraph (e); and
perform such functions as are imposed on it under the Construction Workers Registration Ordinance or any other enactment.
The Qualifications Board may do all such things as are necessary for, or incidental or conducive to, the performance of its functions and may exercise such powers as are conferred on it under the Construction Workers Registration Ordinance or any other enactment.
