The Construction Industry Security of Payment Ordinance (the Ordinance) was gazetted on 27 December 2024. The main provisions of the Ordinance will come into operation on 28 August 2025 for providing better protection for the stakeholders in the supply chains of the construction industry to receive their entitled payment on time. To cooperate with the Development Bureau for promoting the implementation of the Ordinance, the Construction Industry Council has specially developed an informative website, allowing everyone to refer to different parts and details of the Ordinance.

The informative website not only introduces the key features of the Ordinance, the scope of its application, and the adjudication mechanism, but also includes a series of introduction videos and frequently asked questions, allowing users to easily reference different parts of the Ordinance.
