The CIC continues to champion the integration of technology in facilities management. Recently, Ir Prof. Thomas HO, Chairman of the CIC, along with Mr. KUOK Hoi-sang, Chairman and Managing Director of Chevalier International Holdings Limited, Dr. Johnnie CHAN, Chief Executive Officer of Savills Services Group, Ir Simon LIU, Director of Build King Construction Limited and Council Member of the CIC, visited the Smart Facilities Management Control Centre (SFMCC) to explore the latest advancements in smart technologies, underscoring the collaborative effort to drive innovation in the construction industry. 

The delegation explored transformative technologies that revolutionise facility operations and management, including the Tower Crane Rope Monitoring System - utilising advanced sensors to ensure the safety and longevity of crane operations, and the Tower Crane Base Monitoring System - providing real-time data to prevent structural issues and enhance safety. The AI Drone Façade Inspection System showcased how drones can efficiently and accurately inspect building façades, reducing risks and costs. The delegation was also fascinated by the Car Park Monitoring System, optimising parking space usage and improving user experience. 

This visit highlights the CIC's commitment to embracing smart technologies to enhance facilities management. By collaborating with industry leaders, we are shaping a smarter, more efficient future for the construction industry. Let’s continue to innovate and lead the way!
