The Construction Industry Council (CIC) was formed on 1 February 2007. CIC consists of a chairman and 24 members representing various sectors of the industry including employers, professionals, academics, contractors, workers, independent persons and Government officials.

As a representative of Hong Kong’s construction industry, I took the opportunity to engage with other members of the Hong Kong delegation, sharing industry observations and experiences. Such exchanges not only foster cross-regional understanding, but also prompt reflection on the role and responsibilities of the construction sector in different social contexts.
