Sustainable construction is one of the world’s essential topics concerning with the economic, social, and environmental impacts of a built environment. The Construction Industry Council (CIC) has been working as a proactive communication platform to promote sustainable construction among organisations and industry practitioners of the construction industry.
As such, CIC launched its first Sustainable Construction Award in 2018. The Award recognises sustainability best practices among organisations and practitioners especially the young generation of the construction industry. CIC also promotes continuous enhancements of sustainable construction in Hong Kong.
To facilitate the vision of the HKSAR Government to achieve carbon neutrality in 2050, the Sustainable Construction Charter will serve as the guiding principle to continuously foster the establishment and implementation of practical solutions among industry practitioners for decarbonisation.
To recognise outstanding projects and organisations that best utilise Common Data Environment (CDE) to improve project management, collaboration, productivity, and sustainability.
This Award recognises outstanding local projects and local organisations for their contribution in the promotion and adoption of digitalisation tools and workflows and in bringing about innovation in these areas to improve productivity, quality, sustainability and safety, with measurable KPIs.
