The 12th Quality Public Housing Construction and Maintenance Awards jointly
organised by the Hong Kong Housing Authority, the CIC and industry organisations,
commend building and maintenance works practitioners with outstanding
performance. An exhibition featuring the awardees and winning projects was held in
the Construction Industry Resource Centre (CIRC).

Mr. HUI Yip Keung, the Hong Kong representative (Tiling) in 2015
World Skill Competition, and Mr. CHOI King Hung, CIC instructor
of Bricklaying, Plastering & Tiling were invited to the CIRC to
demonstrate tiling and shared details about World Skill Competition to
the visitors, students and teachers who expressed keen interest and
obtained more information about training courses available and career
prospect in the construction industry.

In the 5th Employers Seminar held in CIRC, the JobsNet was
presented to more than 100 employers in detail. The presentation
covered its objectives, functions and features including the tailor-
made job notifications SMS to job seekers, usage figures, as well as
the increasing number of job seekers. Registration and vacancies
posting procedures were also demonstrated.

To increase the exposure of Construction JobsNet, bus shelter
advertisement at Tai Lam Tunnel was first launched in November
and December 2014, followed by a month of Kowloon Bus body
and seat-back print in January 2015. While the main theme of
the advertising campaign was “Looking for Construction Jobs,
go to Construction JobsNet”, website address was displayed on
seatback to enhance the accessibility of JobsNet.
