On 14 January 2015, the CIC released Safety Alert
No. 001/15 Safety Use of Vertical Transportation
at Construction Sites which aimed at encouraging
stakeholders to provide Builder’s Lift (Passenger Hoist/
Builder’s Lift within lift shaft) in construction sites where
high rise building is proposed and built in order to
provide a safe and effective vertical transportation to
workers within the construction premises.

Guidelines on the Implementation of “P” and “N” Caring Programmehe Implementation of “P” and “N” Caring Programme
ܔிุᗫᚥอɛʈЪτΌࠇྌܸˏ
On 5 March 2015, the CIC released Guidelines on the Implementation
of “P” and “N” Caring Programme which set out the good practices
recommended by the CIC for implementing the “P” and “N” Caring
Programme. It refers to and summarises the experience of main
contractors in implementing the caring programme, and consolidates
all relevant information and issues to be addressed by the construction
industry in formulating and evaluating the caring programme, in order to
encourage more main contractors to implement this programme.

Second issue of Construction Industry Journal – Aedifice
On 27 March 2015, the CIC released the second issue of Aedifice, which features an in-
depth interview with the CIC Chairman, Ir LEE Shing-see, as well as articles on safety
measures for working at height, the CIC pilot medical scheme’s preliminary findings,
contractual issue on BIM, the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Bill, as well as the
CIC’s research agenda.
