The Construction Industry Council (CIC) will be organising 4 Awards of “CIC Construction Innovation Award”, “CIC Sustainable Construction Award”, “CIC Construction Digitalisation Award” and “CIC Outstanding Contractor Award” in coming years with the aims of recognising those with outstanding contributions to their fields, as well as promoting professionalism of the construction industry and practitioners to the public. Trophies will be presented to winners during the Award Ceremony.
Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA) is joining hands with CIC to co-organise “HKIA x CIC Logo & Trophy Design Competition”. On behalf of the Organising Committee of the Design Competition, we would like to cordially invite all interested members (all categories), architectural and design students in Hong Kong to join the Design Competition to show your creativity of product design.
Objective
To engage our members, architectural and design students in Hong Kong in designing trophies for 4 Awards “CIC Construction Innovation Award”, “CIC Sustainable Construction Award”, “CIC Construction Digitalisation Award”, and “CIC Outstanding Contractor Award”.
Qualification of Application
ALL categories of HKIA memberships and full-time architectural and design students in Hong Kong are welcome to join the Competition.
Prizes
Gold Award: HK$20,000 cash prizes for each Award
Silver Award: HK$15,000 cash prizes for each Award
Bronze Award: HK$10,000 cash prizes for each Award
Logo Award: HK$10,000 cash prizes for each Award
Copyright
The copyright of the winning trophy designs is co-owned by the Construction Industry Council (CIC) and Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA). The CIC and HKIA have the rights to use or not to use the winning trophies, and to reproduce, re-use, alter, modify, change or exploit the winning designs for non-profit use or promotional purpose without the consent of the concerned authors.
Designs should reflect the prestige and values of professional skills of Hong Kong’s construction industry. The winning design for the trophies should be dignified, creative, visually appealing, and adhere to the required specifications.
Applicants may refer to the Appendix A for the details of each Award.
For submission, please send the application form together with all design materials by email, with the subject as “Submission of HKIA x CIC Logo & Trophy Design Competition” , to the CIC Secretariat ( [email protected] ) on or before 22 January 2021 (Friday), 6:00pm. Result will be announced within one month from the submission deadline.
