" In recent years, the CIC has been launching a number of initiatives to improve the development of the construction industry. The CIC management selected the eight most influential projects, given the name "Pat Sin Leng"; just like the Eight Immortals with supernatural power in Chinese mythology. When working together, they could create unlimited power. If these “magnificent 8” can be implemented successfully, the construction industry in Hong Kong would be unbeatable. "

" The CIC strives to promote New Engineering Contract (NEC) applications in the construction projects in Hong Kong. Since 2015, we have organised over 30 "NEC Project Manager Accreditation Courses" to enhance the understanding of NEC in the industry. With the concerted efforts of the government and the CIC, as of April 2019, a total of 158 local projects have been adopting NEC, including buildings, port works, roads and drainage, site formation, waterworks and other specialised works.
