Objectives

• To raise the younger generation’s interest in the construction industry
• To elevate the professional image of construction personnel by recognising elites with high potential or outstanding performance in the industry

Selection Process and Professional Training

The adjudication panel comprises prominent figures in the industry and they will consider the candidates’ potentials and outstanding performances in
their professions, with the ultimate goal of selecting the Construction Industry Ambassador of the year. The ambassadors will undergo a series of
professional training with an aim to well-equipping them to fulfil their roles. The training courses include communication and presentation skills
training, professional image building and business and social etiquette, etc.

Selection Criteria

Construction Industry Ambassadors should possess certain clear characteristics. They should be:

• Lively and Engaging
• Competent and Capable
• Positive and Passionate
• Honest and Truthful

Awards

• CIC Trainee Division: HK$10,000 cash prize and named as “Construction Industry Ambassador”
• Practitioner Division: HK$10,000 cash prize and named as “Construction Industry Ambassador”
• Student Division: HK$8,000 cash prize and named as “Construction Industry Ambassador”
• Successful nominators will be awarded HK$1,000 cash prize
