Construction Workers Professional Development Scheme 2023

The application for Construction Workers Professional Development Scheme 2023 has been closed. Applicants should pass the designated trade tests before 31 December 2023. Results will be announced in the Q1 2024. Notifications will be sent to the awardees’ email address and posted at the CIC website.

Applicants of the Construction Workers Professional Development Scheme 2023 (the Scheme), who had applied for Trade Tests/Intermediate Trade Tests of designated trades before the application of the Scheme and subsequently pass the trade test(s) between 1 December 2022 and 31 December 2023, and update the qualification on their Construction Workers Registration Card may be awarded while quota lasts. Each eligible applicant can only be awarded ONCE under the Scheme. |

3. |
Applicants should submit applications on or before 30 September 2023. The record of CIC shall prevail in case of disputes. |
4. |
For the applications of the Scheme, the application date for Trade Tests/Intermediate Trade Tests must be on or after 1 December 2022 and each applicant should select no more than TWO applied trade tests. Proof of application of trade tests should also be provided (whether the application of trade test is successful will be based on the record of CIC). |
5. |
Each applicant can apply for the Scheme ONCE only. Applicants who need to amend application details should submit an 'Application for Resubmission (Form B)'. The resubmission will be assigned a new order as the original application will be void. |
6. |
Applicants must agree to the Terms and Conditions of the Scheme and the Personal Information Collection Statement. |
(Part C) Applied trade tests*

The application date for Trade Tests / Intermediate Trade Tests must be on or after 1 December 2022. Proof of successful application of trade test should be submitted (whether the application(s) of trade test is successful will be based on the record of CIC).

Each applicant should select no more than TWO applied trade tests
|
• |
Applicants must attain the qualification of Skilled Worker/Semi-skilled Worker through passing trade tests. Qualifications attained by licenses or certificates which can be exempted from trade tests are not eligible for the Scheme (Please refer to page 17 of the booklet of ‘Introduction to Construction Industry Trade Test’ for those licenses or certificates)

Terms and Conditions

1. |
If CIC finds that an applicant has not applied for a trade test according to the defined timeframe before applying for the Scheme, his/her application will be disqualified and replaced by the subsequent eligible application. |
2. |
If there are concurrent applications for the Scheme, the application dates for the trade test will become the determining factor for the award. |
3. |
CIC decides awardees according to the order of the Scheme enrolment and trade test application dates. CIC has absolute right to decide awardees. |
4. |
If for any reason CIC determines to disqualify an application, any resubmission of that applicant will be assigned a new order (i.e. the order of the original application cannot be reserved). |
5. |
Awardees must attend the award presentation ceremony and other activities related to the Scheme and agree to the use and/or publication of application details, photographs, audios and videos (with or without modifications) submitted for the purposes of publicity and promotion by CIC. Awardees who refuse to fulfil the above requirements will be disqualified. |
6. |
Applicants must certify that all the information given in this application form is true and accurate. |
7. |
Applicants agree and authorise CIC to obtain and verify their personal data with relevant institutions when necessary. |
8. |
CIC may at its absolute discretion without notice at any time and under any circumstances withdraw or modify the provisions of any goods or services. |
9. |
CIC reserves the right of final decision at any time on the judging criteria, results, termination of the Scheme and withdrawal of awards. CIC reserves the right of final decision on all arrangements of the Scheme. |

Personal Information Collection Statement

The information provided by the participant to Construction Industry Council (CIC), including the personal data referred to in the “Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance”, will only be used for this Scheme organised by CIC. |
2. |
為讓申請人得知最新的議會活動和業界發展情況,議會將使用申請人提供的個人資料,包括姓名、電話號碼、電郵地址,將有關訓練課程、測試、註冊、活動項目、議會工作和建造業其他方面的最新資訊發送予本人。 |
本人日後不欲接收由建造業議會發出有關議會活動以及與建造業相關的資訊。 |
2. |
The participant is entitled to access and correct their personal data. Such enquiry should be addressed to CIC at 38/F, COS Centre, 56 Tsun Yip Street, Kwun Tong, Kowloon. Charges might be collected upon provision of the requested data. |
