About the Seminar
Construction Industry Council (CIC) is concerned about the shortage of river sand supply and the environmental impact of dredging of river sand. CIC not only published a “Research on River Sand Substitutes for Concrete Production and Cement Sand Mortar Production (Phase Two) Final Report” in 2016 but also worked with the HKSAR Government and conducted several trial tests for manufactured sand in plastering process with consideration of its procurement, installation and quality performance.
Through the seminar, it is hoped that participants will have a better understanding on the performance, advantages and market supply of river sand substitutes.
