Strategy for Management and Reduction of C&D Waste in Hong Kong

About the Seminar

Construction Industry Council (CIC) is highly concerned about increasing operation cost and stagnant recycling rate of construction and demolition (C&D) waste in Hong Kong. In the view of such situation, a Task Force on Strategy for Management and Reduction of C&D waste in Hong Kong was thus set up under the Committee on Environment of the CIC to find out appropriate actions. CIC has recently issued a report on Strategy for Management and Reduction of Construction and Demolition Waste in Hong Kong (the Report) in August 2017. The Report overviews precisely the local and overseas policy and measures for C&D waste management and reduction, and propose nowadays methodology for waste treatment after analysis of feasibility study.

It is hoped that participants through the seminar, participants could have a better understanding on the advanced C&D waste approach and discuss the way forward of C&D waste management.
