One Planet Living

An ecological footprint study found that if everyone in the world consumed as many natural resources as the average person in Hong Kong, we would need 2.2 planets to support us. Carbon emissions account for around 50% of our global eco-footprint.

"One Planet Living" covers various aspects of sustainable living, and is a framework to live within a fair share of the Earth’s resources. The framework is jointly developed by BioRegional Development Group and WWF International.

The One Planet Living framework comprises 10 principles:

Zero Carbon

Zero Waste

Sustainable Transport

Green and Fair Trade

Sustainable Water

Green Culture

Local and Sustainable Food

Urban Native Woodland and Biodiversity

Sustainable Materials

Health and Happiness

Let's make a change towards a more sustainable planet Earth.
